Philip Starikov
Philip started with Ounsted and Company in 2023 while he works towards his CPA designation. Prior to public practice, he worked in substation testing and maintenance and natural gas construction. In his spare time, Philip enjoys a variety of activities with friends and family.
Chris began his accounting career in 1994 with an international accounting firm and opened Ounsted & Company in 2006. Chris specializes in small to medium sized accounting and taxes, personal taxes, estate taxes and business valuations. Chris is member of CPA Canada, Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia, the CBV (Chartered Business Valuator) Institute, Canadian Tax Foundation and the Collaborative Family Separation Professionals of Victoria. Chris enjoys spending time with his family and coaching football.

Ryan joined Ounsted and Company as a Senior Manager in 2024 after many years at a national accounting firm. Ryan earned his professional designation in 2013 and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in 2007. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family.
Ryan Kelly CPA, CA, BBA
Cathie has been with Ounsted & Company since 2006 as Controller. Cathie brings many years of corporate experience in Greater Victoria and has been a part of many corporate Boards. Cathie has owned several businesses over the years and currently is the Chairperson of the Victoria Airport Authority. Previously she was the chair of Audit and Finance. Past Boards include Central Saanich Police Board, Peninsula Co-op, Island Catholic School Board, and a term as an elected official with the District of Central Saanich. Cathie enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering in the community.
Cathie Ounsted
Laura and her family moved to Canada from Wales in 2008. Since moving to Canada, she worked her way up from reception to become an accounting technician in public practice. She has extensive practical experience in corporate and personal tax accounting and bookkeeping. She is a friendly people-person and enjoys working directly with clients. She became Canadian in November 2018, enjoys boxercise, singing, walking and is also an enthusiastic volunteer.
Laura Cook
Joelle joined Ounsted & Company in 2020 and obtained her CPA in 2023. She completed her BBA – Accounting Major and Finance Diploma at Camosun College. Prior to her accounting career, Joelle was employed in the hospitality sector. In her free time, Joelle enjoys spending time with friends and family and outdoor activities.

Allison has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Camosun College and has been with Ounsted & Company since its inception in 2006. Allison’s expertise is in corporate year ends and personal tax returns. Allison spends her spare time chasing after her daughter and her chickens on her farm in Sooke.

Jaydon Weiterman BBA
Jaydon was born and raised in Saskatchewan and moved to Vancouver Island in 2017. In 2021 she completed her BBA - Accounting Major and Finance Diploma with Honours from Camosun College. Currently, she is enrolled in the CPA PEP program and is expected to earn her CPA designation in the fall of 2024. Prior to working in public practice, Jaydon has employment experience in the food service industry and the federal government. In her free time, Jaydon enjoys running, fly fishing, camping and spending time with family.
Dan Johnson
Dan joined Ounsted and Company in 2024 and he is currently working towards his Bachelors of Business Administration – Accounting Concentration. From there, he will enter the CPA program. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, swimming and music production.
Alita completed the Office Administration program at Camosun College in 2006 and started with Ounsted & Company that same year as part of the Administrative team. Alita brings many years of excellent client services and support. Alita enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as hiking and camping.
Alita Jodrell
Sara joined Ounsted & Company as part of the Administrative Team in 2024. She has spent most of her career working in offices in both administration and bookkeeping roles. Sara is currently working on her BBA – Accounting at Camosun College. Outside of work and school she enjoys long distance running and spending time with her friends, family and two dogs.
